Faculty of Management and Command

The Faculty of Management and Command’s mission is to prepare military and civilian professionals to solve problems related to the management of public organizations as well as logistics, economics of defence and civil aviation. It realizes its mission by conducting interdisciplinary research, by implementation of modern curricula and by giving support and scientific advice to operators in the area of security and defence.

The Faculty offers first and second-cycle studies within many different specialities such as: Management, Command, Logistics, Economics of Defence as well as postgraduate or PhD studies. It is constantly developing its advisory role striving to combine social and economical aspects with the area of security and defence.

National Security Faculty

The mission of the Faculty is to prepare military and civilian professionals in security studies to solve problems concerning national and international security by conducting interdisciplinary scientific research, following updated curricula and facilitating and providing expertise for institutions operating in the field of state security and defence. The faculty is a leading center in Poland in the field of developing, shaping and promoting national strategic thinking as well as in research in national and international security.

The Faculty of National Security offers first and second-cycle studies within many different specialities such as: National Security, Internal Security, International Security, Information Security, Administration as well as postgraduate or PhD studies. It also provides  unique expertise and advisory environment in the areas of security and defence for the state administration or for domestic business entities.

Faculty of Military Studies

The mission of the Faculty of Military Studies is to educate and improve professional skills of command and staff personnel for the needs of command and management systems of the Polish Armed Forces in cooperation with allied and national command institutions as well as scientific and research centres. The Faculty is a leading centre in the field of developing, shaping and promoting the art of war, first of all including the operational art (strategic thinking) and tactics, command and support.

Officers attend Postgraduate Operational-Tactical Studies, Postgraduate Operational-Strategic Studies, Postgraduate Defence Policy Studies and other postgraduate studies and courses organized to meet the needs of armed forces and other institutions connected with state defence. The Faculty also runs first and second cycle studies, extramural postgraduate studies and PhD studies in the field of Defence Studies mainly for the needs of the Polish Armed Forces and  national defence.

Main Library

Currently, the Main Library of the supports about 6 thousand readers and has about 800 thousand volumes of books (including 350 old books), more than 19 000 volumes of journals (750 Polish and 260 foreign titles) and 159 thousand cartographic publications. The Library book collection consists of Polish and foreign literature, mainly in the field of international politics, national security, the types of forces, warfare, strategy and tactics of war and military history, logistics, organization and management and marketing as well as compendia covering the humanities.
